Ferguson Cop to be Tried Again

Last August in Ferguson, Missouri an unarmed African American teenager was shot dead. Michael Brown was fatally shot by police officer Darren Wilson. A very controversial criminal trial resulted in Wilson being acquitted. This led to protests all over the United States.

Recently, the Department of Justice released their inquiry into Ferguson and found the police force institutionally racist. Michael Brown’s family have decided to file a civil case against Wilson.

Hopefully a second trial will bring justice to the Brown family and all of the people in the community concerned with police brutality and racial profiling. I’m glad this issue is in the public eye, as it is something that happens every day that many people are completely unaware of. Thanks for the article!

Real shame how this goes unpunished. Hope everyone in Ferguson and around the world stays safe and the cops get a fair ruling.

Shocking to hear that a case like this has still not been resolved, but it’s comforting to hear investigations are ongoing.
