On Tuesday, a Germanwings plane carrying 150 people and 6 crew members, crashed while on its way to Düsseldorf.
Investigators have since found, that at the time of the crash the co-pilot Andreas Lubitz was in control. The voice recorder, which was found on the crash site revelealed that the pilot of the plane was locked outside of the cockpit whilst Lubitz took over the controls of the plane. He reset the autopilot to drop the plane from 38,000 feet down to 100 feet. The plane crashed into the Alps in less than eight minutes. There are a lot of unanswered questions as to Lubitz’s intentions. At the moment, it is suspected that he had an unreported mental illness which could be cause of a suicidal crash like this.
