Gurdaspur, a district in northwest India, in the state of Punjab was under attack on Monday as three terrorists attacked a local police station. All three terrorists involved in the attack are dead and the according to police officials, the siege has ended.
The gunmen began firing from behind a bus stop, then proceeded to their targeted location which was directly next to the local hospital. All of the men were heavily armed with machine guns and were dressed in military uniforms. During the attack, six victims were killed including three security forces.
The attack lasted over 11 hours as officials tried to catch the terrorists alive, so they could be put through interrogation. Police are said to believe that the men could have possibly come from Pakistan.
